DILATION & CURETAGE: 12-15 WEEKS
Cervix dilated through laminaria rods on day one. In day two of procedure,  baby pulled out with forceps and head crushed for removal.

DILATION & EVACUATION: 15-20 WEEKS
Cervix dilated through laminaria rods on day one. In day two of procedure,  baby must be cut up with use of sharp scalpel limb by limb without anesthesia. Pulled out with forceps and head crushed for removal. Babies do respond to touch and pain at this age in utero.


EMOTIONAL RISKS:

Depression, anxiety, PTSD, self hatred, self-destructive behavior, addiction, suicidal ideation/attempts,sexual dysfunction, personality change, flashbacks, chronic crying, sleep disorder.
According to the British Journal of Psychiatry, post-abortive women face an 81% increased risk of mental health problems (1)
